How do I take off the manual window rolling handle on a 1999 Mitsubishi Mirage?

I'm trying to take off the inner door panel of my girlfriend's 1999 mitsubishi mirage, (with manual windows) but I can't get the window-rolling handle thing off. (It has to come off to allow the door panel to come off.) Help would be greatly appreciated!!!|||there is a retaining clip that holds it on alot of times you can get it off with a screw driver its alot like a c clip it will try to spin when you push on it if you look with a flash light you should be able to see it|||for under $10 you can get a door panel tool that is helpful in popping out the c-clip.
