Why does Mitsubishi charge so much for parts and anything over 4 cyl uses premium gas?|||If you think Mitsubishi factory parts are pricey you should check what BMW, Lexus, Mercedes Benz etc. charge.
The premium gas keeps the motor from Knocking. The motor was designed for higher octane fuel.|||The premium requirement is really only a problem on the 3.8L and more specifically the Endeavor... not to mention the fact that it's clearly listed as a requirement so if you don't want to buy premium you don't buy the car.
