Can you change the engine of a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse from a 4 cylinder to a 6 cylinder?

I need to replace the engine in my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse, is it possible to upgrade it to a 6 cylinder?|||You can swap just about any engine into anything with enough work and money! It just depends on how much you wanna spend. Research it. See if anyone else has done it and try to talk to them.|||My god. no. Please, do some research. You canNOT take a 4litre engine and make it a 6cyl, nor can you make a 6cly an 8cyl... You would have to swap out the engine.
