How can I eject CDs from a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse with 6 disc changer in dash?

I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder with the 6 disc cd changer made by Rockford Fosgate. A while ago, it wouldn't eject cds, and all 6 are inside. Won't play them either. I heard of a gear inside the unit that jams but am asking if there are any easier ways of a fix.|||sledgehammer.
