Can someone who's owned a Mitsubishi eclipse spyder and got in a wreck tell me how it held up?

I'm considering buying a 2008 Mitsubishi eclipse spyder and I'm a little concerned about safety because it is so small. I know I can look up safety ratings and all that junk but I kinda wanted to know a personal experience about the car and whether it was good or bad...? Anybody?|||Probably notttt very good considering there is no hard top or cage that would protect the passengers if another car were to hit them and make them roll. Nothing but a flimsy door for protection.|||i haven't got a mitsubishi eclipse but check this :
